Dodge County CCS Therapist

Comprehensive Community Services (CCS) is a recovery-focused, rehabilitative, and integrated behavioral health program for youth & adults with severe mental illness and/or substance use disorders. The program is person-centered and uses client/family-directed service plans to describe the individualized services that will support the client in achieving their recovery goals.

As an integral part of the CCS team, the CCS therapist provides psychotherapy, psychoeducation, and supportive collateral services to participants in the CCS program. These services will take place in the office, in the community, and/or in clients’ homes. The CCS therapist would be responsible for assessing the therapeutic needs of clients and completing formal assessments, developing, implementing, evaluating, and reviewing client treatment plans, and counseling clients in accordance with their treatment plans.

Competencies:

  • High level of mental health and/or substance abuse clinical knowledge and skills with the ability to clearly communicate these to others
  • Prior experience working with individuals from diverse economic, racial, and ethnic backgrounds
  • Experience with Trauma Informed Care and harm reduction approaches
  • Excellent assessment skills
  • High level of skill in organization, attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to handle multiple tasks at one time
  • Ability to navigate and communicate effectively in potential emergency situations
  • Ability to promote positive working relationships with others
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Outlook, Word, and Excel)

Requirements:

  • Ability to work well with individuals from diverse economic, racial, and ethnic backgrounds and LGBTQ+ identities
  • Minimum of a master’s degree from an accredited school in Social Work, Counseling, or related field Current graduate students welcome to apply
  • State of Wisconsin Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) OR State of Wisconsin Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) OR State of Wisconsin Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
  • Minimum of two years of experience providing services to youth and/or adults with significant mental health, substance abuse, or co-occurring needs
  • Pass a pre-employment background check
  • Valid driver’s license and automobile with insurance
  • Pre-employment background check and annual tuberculosis testing and flu vaccinations as required by Milwaukee County
