JusticePoint, Inc. is a private non-profit agency with a commitment to social justice. The target population includes adults who may have serious and persistent mental health and/or substance abuse disorders, may be considered indigent, or be at risk for re-arrest, and are involved in the criminal justice system. Case Managers will provide service at various points of contact including the courts, county jail, state mental health institutes, and the community.
The JusticePoint Peer Specialist – Certified (PS-C) engages and encourages peers in recovery. The PS-C will function as a role model to peers by demonstrating competency in personal recovery and the use of coping/recovery skills. The goal is to promote engagement, self-direction, and recovery skills so the peer can gain independent mastery over their own recovery. The PS-C works with peers as equals. The position would work with a diverse group of high-risk, high-need, justice-involved individuals.
This opening is not a general case management or social work position. It is specifically for individuals who have or are seeking Peer Specialist certification, have a history of diagnosed mental health and/or AODA issues, and are willing to openly share their recovery story. Those applying for the position should be able to understand and articulate the role and duties of a Peer Specialist – Certified.
The Peer Support Specialist is responsible for providing support to Pathways residents and facilitate daily activities.
The Jail Screening Specialist is responsible for conducting interviews and assessments of inmates in Ramsey County Adult Detention Center. The Jail Screening Specialist provides a detailed and objective report to the Court, Prosecution and Defense to assist in the bail decision. This includes the defendant’s assessed risk level, and recommendations related to bail and release conditions. The Jail Screening Specialist may assist in the process of releasing individuals from custody to pretrial supervision and in providing more in-depth assessment to identify individuals who may be eligible for a Diversion agreement. Staff will ensure attendance at court arraignment hearings to provide information to the court as needed/requested. Staff will also assist with Release Preparation and will be granted Delegated Release Authority.
Installers are responsible for installing, retrieving, and basic troubleshooting of various electronic geolocation and alcohol monitoring devices within 24 hours of notification of service need by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections, Division of Community Corrections (DOC DCC). JusticePoint Electronic Monitoring is the subcontracted service provider for the contract between Attenti Electronic Monitoring and the DOC DCC for Electronic Monitoring services to more than 3,600 probationers and parolees throughout the State of Wisconsin. JusticePoint Electronic Monitoring LLC is a wholly-owned and controlled subsidiary of the nonprofit organization JusticePoint, Inc.
Installers will receive notification of service need, secure the necessary device/equipment, and meet DOC DCC supervisees at various community locations and, occasionally, supervisee’s homes to install, retrieve, or troubleshoot devices. Installers will be required to pass a background check as outlined by the DOC to become and remain an installer under this project and will be required to always have a dependable vehicle and valid insurance while employed by JusticePoint in this position. This position will require significant driving.

The Day Report Technician serves as a core resource to the Portage County Day Report Program in several key ways. The Day Report Technician assists the Program Director and Case Managers in providing direct services to potential and existing participants in the Day Report Program, Pre-Trial Supervision Program, and Post-Trial Supervision Program. The Day Report Technician is responsible for following strict collection and chain of custody protocols in the administration of the Day Report drug and alcohol testing protocol.
Recovery Support Coordination is a strength-based case management model that provides the framework for an individualized plan of care to be developed for each participant. The purpose of Recovery Support Coordination is to assist clients to establish their own path to recovery and ensure the client’s well-being beyond the provision of formal services. It is the expectation of the Behavioral Health Division (BHD) Community Access to Recovery Services (CARS) that the Recovery Support Coordinator (RSC) /Case Manager (CM) will promptly undertake care coordination responsibilities so that the client’s recovery needs will be met in a timely manner. The RSC/CM will coordinate service planning and delivery, as well as help the client to access services.
The Care Coordinator is responsible for helping the consumers to understand, navigate, and grow through the CCS program. The CC meets and works with the consumers, service providers, and other team supports that assist in the consumer’s progression through the CCS program and receives consultation from mental health and/or substance abuse professionals while working on the clients individualized recovery plan.
