Access Point is the first step to accessing a variety of Milwaukee County Behavioral Health Division (BHD) Community Access to Recovery Services (CARS) programs and services.
Access Point provides screening and assessment of mental health and/or substance use disorders for Milwaukee County residents 18-59 years of age and pregnant females of any age. The screening and assessment identify an individual’s need for services and the appropriate level of care. The Access Point assessment results in recommendations for services and assistance in accessing those services. Based upon the assessment, clients may be referred to a variety of Milwaukee County Behavioral Health Division (BHD) Community Access to Recovery Services (CARS) programs and services, such as Recovery Support Coordination (RSC), Targeted Case Management (TCM), Community Support Programs (CSP), bridge housing, peer support, mental health outpatient treatment, substance abuse outpatient treatment, day treatment, residential treatment, and medication assisted treatment.

Access Point assessments can be conducted in the Sirona office located at: 205 W. Highland Ave., Suite 201 or can be arranged at a community site convenient to the client.
